My office window looks out onto a beautiful park that has a disc golf course. Every day, no matter the season, the same guy (Mr. R) is out practicing disc golf. It’s cold outside ( in Minnesota that means really cold), trudges through the snow, and occasionally slips on the ice to practice. He is good at disc golf, and he is getting better.
Next summer, fellow players will admire his skill. They may even feel slightly envious because he makes it look easy. But I know the truth. I know that he has been outside, practicing every day.

We hope success will appear fast with as little effort as possible.
The instant gratification that continually surrounds us can lull us into believing success should be easy. Dinner for four arrives in less than five minutes at a drive-through. We no longer need to drive or deal with people to shop. With only a few flicks of our fingers, items are delivered to our door in less than two days. Easy.
Success comes from consistent and concentrated effort.
-A healthy trim body requires eating wholesome food and carving out time for exercise.
-Sales success means executing a daily plan to make cold calls and research leads.
-Learning a language takes memorizing new vocabulary, learning sentence structure, and practicing pronunciation.
The fantastic news is that if someone has done it, you can do it too.
Pick a big goal. Break your goal into achievable steps and commit to one small step you will take every day to achieve success.
